- IN HOUSES OF WORSHIP
Children can be taught the language of forgiveness but might never learn –without help- the incremental steps that lead to acts of pardon and peace. Teens can learn the language of forgiveness by seeing it modeled by the adults in their lives. Adults can learn the language of forgiveness through study and life coaching. All learn by good example and encouragement. Learning how to forgive is really the first step to learning how to live -with the scars of conflicts- but in peace.
Complete 14 lessons about forgiveness using the guided curriculum handbook produced by Dr. Robert D. Enright and the International Forgiveness Institute. The program is currently available in the United States only in: New England, New Jersey and South Florida.

REWARDS FOR LITERARY ACCOMPLISHMENT ON THE TOPIC OF FORGIVENESS
Forgive4Peace fosters a culture of forgiveness through its “Family, Friends and Forgiveness” Essay Competition. The courage to forgive fortifies the most basic interpersonal relationships – those within families and among friends – the essential building blocks for harmony in communities. The Essay Competition is:
- open to 10 to 14 year old girls
- a grass roots effort to raise awareness of the need for and value of forgiveness in society.
- a reward for literary accomplishment.
Adolescent girls are especially vulnerable in situations of anger and intimidation, revenge and retribution. Forgiveness can hasten their healing from such wounds. Awards are granted for the best essays of a true life experience that has taught the candidate the value of forgiveness. For the Essay Competition Application, click here. For questions, click here.
